Reflective Metal Encoder Disc

Reflective metal-substrate encoder discs with a durable construction, for reflective optical encoders.

Reflective metal encoder discs use metal (such as stainless steel) as the substrate, with reflective and non-reflective areas formed on the surface by precision processing; they are reflective discs. The light source and the receiver sit on the same side of the disc, and position is read from the light/dark variation of the reflected light. Metal substrates offer high mechanical strength, shock resistance and environmental robustness, making them suitable for reflective encoders with compact designs or demanding operating conditions.

Features

  • Metal substrate: high strength, shock-resistant, stable and reliable
  • Reflective design with a compact optical path
  • Precise reflective-area patterns on the surface with clear contrast
  • Customizable outer diameter, bore and line count
